Pier Perspectives

There’s nothing better than talking while walking to gain a fresh perspective. Especially when there is a great view and a new horizon. For me the River Thames has always provided my thinking space. Never stagnant, currents always moving, tides ebbing and flowing. Whether the tide is in or out, the vista invites me for a conversation with myself. And a walk to the end of a pier offers a completely new perspective – whether it is a shipping pier
or wharf in London or the world’s longest pleasure pier in Southend!

I am offering 121 in-person coaching walks starting from Waterloo, Tower Bridge or Southend Pier. For 90 mins we will walk together and I will help you explore your current questions and make a plan for next steps.

Weaving Trust in Teams

Weaving Trust** is a simple but highly-effective relationship-building method that can be used in workshops to build trust across diversity. I’ve delivered this numerous times in local communities, intercultural conferences and businesses, and know that this is an effective method to build trust across difference, humanise task-focussed teams, prevent polarisation and remind people of
the power of conversation.

In an increasingly online world, where many miss out on formative in-person experiences, this is an essential tool to help people regain faith in conversation.

Bespoke Intercultural Team Workshops

I am convinced that we achieve more through diversity, because difference births creativity.

But teams need space to explore this safely and in an energising way. I can create a bespoke workshop using intercultural coaching tools to help your team move forward from where they are with greater respect for one another, deeper connection and more alignment to the task at hand. Celebrating cultural diversity as a success factor, I can help develop practical and functional structures for successful communication in your international team.

Testimonials

“In the very first days of my evacuation from Afghanistan to the UK, while I was leading a community of Afghan evacuees, I met Juliet. Her rich experience working with diverse groups in different countries gave her a deep understanding of the challenges we faced. Her empathetic approach and life-changing advice not only helped me personally, but also supported our entire community as we tried to find our place in an unfamiliar society.”

Ershad Honaryar, author and formerly senior journalist and team manager, BBC Persia

“Juliet brings a calm, grounding influence that helps people make sense of complex contexts, discern what is truly theirs to do, and act in alignment with their values and integrity. I recommend her wholeheartedly as a coach”.

Iona Lawrence, co-founder of the Jo Cox Foundation and co-founder of The Decelerator

“Juliet was a creative and thoughtful coach. I particularly enjoyed our coaching walks. I returned to work after a sabbatical with clarity on how to work out my various responsibilities and a clearer sense of the conversations I needed to have with my employers so I could work to my strengths”.
